Calf Holes, also known as Dry Lathe Cave, is a small limestone cave formed through natural dissolution processes typical of the Carboniferous Limestone in the Yorkshire Dales. The site has historical references suggesting possible use as a shelter for livestock or by shepherds, though no significant archaeological finds have been recorded.
