Cairn stands as a small stone heap on a narrow shelf in County Clare, holding a flat surface large enough for one person to sit beside the protruding eastern marker. The nearby sink-hole swallows rain and memory alike, suggesting the stones exist to mark what the earth intends to erase. People may have gathered there to watch the plateau tilt or to leave something behind before walking into the hidden dark.

In rough pasture on a NE–SW shelf in a plateau, with higher ground to NW and sloping away in other directions, and within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-032001-). This small cairn (4.1m N–S; 4m E–W; H 0.4–0.9m) has a level surface (2m E–W; 1.7m N–S). A stone (0.8m N–S; 0.2m E–W; H 0.45m) with suboval cross-section protrudes up from the cairn at E.
