What is recorded here

On a gentle NE-facing slope covered with hazel, overlooking a valley. A large oval area (c. 50–55m N–S; c. 40m E–W) is defined by a moss- and grass-covered wall spread (max. H 0.5m; Wth 3–5m) in which some large stones (L c. 0.5m) are visible. A later drystone wall, shown on the 1836 and 1916 eds. of the OS 6-inch maps, overlies its E half. The interior slopes down gently to the N. A house site (CL009-047001-) occupies its N end. Compiled by: Olive Alcock and Conn Herriott Date of upload: 24 January 2022
