Site E on Piperstown Hill is a small circular cairn with a central hollow, suggesting disturbance rather than deliberate design. It belongs to an extensive Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age settlement where people lived, buried their dead and shaped the hillside. The missing centre may mark forgotten hands, moved stones or time itself, but the cairn still holds its place among older lives.

Situated on the S slopes of Piperstown Hill. A cairn known as Site E. ‘Site E: A small, roughly circular, cairn of stones. It averages about 3-75 m. in diameter and is about 20 cm. in maximum height. At its centre is a hollow about 70 cm. in average diameter, which suggests that this cairn has suffered disturbance. No evidence of a kerb’ (Rynne and Ó hEailidhe 1965, 64).
