Knocknagullion still wears both cairns like buttons on a coarse jacket, eight metres apart on the bog. The larger one measures six by five and a half metres, a metre high, with heather dragging across its disturbed top. They sit inside old field boundaries, not forgotten but waiting for someone to read the line they marked.

In rough hill pasture, on blanket bog, on the NE-facing slopes of Knocknagullion and within a network of relict field boundaries (KE091-114009-). A roughly circular mound (6m NW-SE; 5.5m NE-SW; H 1m) of stones of various sizes protrudes above the surface of the bog. There are indications of disturbance on the top of the cairn, which is partially obscured by heather. Another cairn (KE091-114008-) is c. 8m to the SW.
