Situated on the level landscape of the low-lying and narrow part (L c. 4.5km NE-SW; Wth c. 600m-1.5km NW-SE) of the Hook peninsula, with the estuary of the Barrow/Nore/Suir immediately to the N. There is a grass-covered cairn (diam. 6m; H 0.2-0.6m) in the SE quadrant of rath (WX054-001001-).
