Situated at the summit of Black Rock Mountain. This is an oval cairn (dims. 9.5m E-W; 7.5m N-S; H 0.8-1.8m) composed of large granite boulders (dims. c. 1m x 0.5m x 0.3m). It may have been erected to mark a boundary between townlands. Cairn (WX009-011001-) is immediately to the N. A Neolithic cairn, likely dating to the Early to Middle Neolithic period (c. 4000–3000 BCE). Its location on a mountain summit suggests it may have had a ritual or territorial significance.
