What is recorded here

Cairn is a circular stony spread in cutaway bog at the foot of Tooreennamna Mountain, with a hut site nearby. It is not a tomb, chamber or monument of any named kind. What it marked, who built it or why it survives beside a dwelling remains unknown. The bog has taken most of the answer, leaving only a shallow disc of stone and a gap in the story.

In rough pasture, in an area of cutaway bog at the foot of Tooreennamna Mountain. A circular stony spread (4.1m N-S; 4.2m E-W; H 0.45m) protrudes above the surface of the shallow bog cover and is partially hidden by gorse and grass.
