Cahernaclossa Fort is a stone-faced earthen ringfort in Ballintober, County Galway, where a modern water tank now occupies the southeastern quadrant of the ancient interior. Field walls and fences cut through the remaining bank, blending the early medieval enclosure into ordinary farmland until it becomes nearly impossible to separate from the living landscape. That gentle erasure may be the point: the fort stopped being a monument and became a place people still use, still shape, and still forget.

In undulating farmland, c. 200m NNW of a stream. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (32.5m NE-SW; 24.5m NW-SE) defined by a stone-faced earthen bank. The monument is cut by a field wall at WNW and ESE, and a field fence at S. A water tank has been erected in SE quadrant of the interior.
