What is recorded here

Caherbeg is a ruined fairy fort on a Galway hillock, its stone wall collapsed under centuries of farm traffic. A blocked passage still hides in the northeast soil, waiting for someone brave enough to dig. The locals avoid the site at dusk, claiming the ground breathes and the stones rearrange themselves when nobody watches.

On a hillock in farmland. Poorly preserved subcircular cashel (39.2m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall overlain by a field boundary. A gap (Wth 2m) at S may be modern. There is a blocked-up Man-made underground passage (GA103-045001-) in the NE quadrant of the interior.
