Gates to Byblox House, built c. 1790, house now demolished. Comprising coursed limestone rubble S-curved entrance walls terminating in vehicular gates flanked by pedestrian gates. Square-plan ashlar flat-topped piers with plinths and moulded copings, and having urns to outer piers. Single- and double-leaf decorative wrought-iron gates. Ruins of three-bay single-storey gate lodge to west, having red brick chimneystack, rendered limestone rubble walls, and square-headed window and door openings.

This entrance gateway originally served as a formal introduction to Byblox House, which no longer stands. It forms an interesting comparison with the tripartite entrance to Doneraile Court to the east. The ashlar masonry of the piers forms a pleasing visual contrast with the rubble of the S-curve walls, while the eye is drawn upwards by the carved urn mounts. The ruins of the lodge adds further interest to the entrance.
