In Bonane Heritage Park, on a SW-facing slope. A spread (c. 4m x c. 3m) of charcoal-enriched soil and heat-shattered stones is exposed in the ground where a coniferous tree has fallen. Similar material adheres to the exposed earth-covered root of the tree. There is a rath (KE102-031----) c. 70m to the NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
