Burnt spread in Dromagorteen

In Bonane Heritage Park, on a SW-facing slope. A spread (c. 4m x c. 3m) of charcoal-enriched soil and heat-shattered stones is exposed in the ground where a coniferous tree has fallen. Similar material adheres to the exposed earth-covered root of the tree. There is a rath (KE102-031----) c. 70m to the NW.
