What is recorded here

This record was formerly classed as a 'fulacht fiadh' in both the SMR (1990) and the RMP (1997). The monument was noted by the 'Castleisland District Archaeological Survey' - March 1990 - while inspecting a nearby possible enclosure (KE031-017----). The Castleisland Survey noticed that the fence to the W was 'partially constructed of black earth and heat shattered stone'. They were also informed by the landowner that a spread of this material was also found within the possible enclosure (KE031-017----) which he had levelled in the 1950s. (SMR file)

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
