Burnt spread in Cummeenduvasig is a 4m layer of charcoal and ash trapped beneath a drystone wall on the west side of the Owbaun valley. The fire event happened quickly enough to leave a thin, continuous band instead of scattering debris across the valley. A possible cashel sits 140m to the northeast, suggesting the burn may have marked a boundary, cleared a path or ended an occupied place rather than wasted land.

In rough peaty pasture, on a SE-facing slope, on the W side of the valley of the Owbaun River. A layer (L 4m NW-SE; H 0.4m) of burnt material is exposed under a drystone field wall, close to the W bank of a stream. The layer extends into an overgrown area to the SW of the wall but its full extent cannot be determined. There is a possible cashel (KE084-005----) c. 140m to the NE.
