What is recorded here

Topsoil monitoring in 2003 revealed a series of pits and post-holes on the N side of a relatively low glacial ridge near low-lying wetland. Follow up excavations in 2003 exposed a shallow depression filled with heat shattered stones which was cut into by an oblong pit. The only find from the site was a small piece of flint debitage and a small fragment of burnt bone (Murray, c. 2006, 114). Compiled by: Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 26 August 2011
