Archaeological monitoring in advance of development at Demesne Lane, Longford town uncovered a burnt area (c. 4m N-S; c. 3m E-W), which contained a deposit of charcoal, heat-shattered stone and burnt clay (Pieczarka and Tierney 2006). Compiled by: Patrick F. O'Donovan Date of upload: 2 March 2012
