Situated on a slight E-facing slope. A subcircular mound (dims 18m x 15m; H 0.2m) of broken and burnt stone is visible when the area is ploughed. It is visible on Google Earth (2009). Burnt mound in Cushenstown is a Neolithic ritual or industrial site, dating to approximately 4000–2500 BCE. Its significance lies in providing evidence of early human activity, possibly related to heat-treated processes or ceremonial practices.
