Burnt mound in Crag (trughanacmy By., Castleisland Ed) was a three-foot pile of brick-like stone beside a well before men levelled it around 1970. It may have heated water for washing, cooking or ritual, but the mound no longer exists to prove which. The well remains the visible edge of a lost human routine, preserving only the shape of what disappeared.

The levelled burnt mound was described by the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey as a burnt mound levelled c. 1970 which consisted of a mound 'c. 3ft high mound [which] consisted of small pieces of stone resembling brick.
