Burnt mound in Carrowmoran

In rough, poorly-drained pasture, located on the W bank of a stream. Low circular mound (14m N–S; 8m E–W) composed of small stone fragments in black soil. The mound is marked by a covering of short grass which contrasts with the long grass and rushes elsewhere in the field.
