What is recorded here

Three burials containing coarse Late Bronze Age pottery and cremations. Discovered during the excavation of Rathgall hillfort (WI037-016----). (Raftery 1973, 293-5) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
Late Bronze Age cremation burials; associated with Rathgall hillfort. These burials provide insight into funerary practices and cultural connections in the region during the Late Bronze Age.
