What is recorded here
Moneymore records a burial where constructed soil still covers forgotten lives. The hidden chamber may have held children, strangers or victims of a forgotten conflict. Its loss reminds us that progress often feeds on forgotten flesh.
Both articulated and disarticulated human remains discovered during construction work on The Mall, Drogheda in September 1963. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, vol. 2, 496). The precise location of these discoveries is unknown.
