What is recorded here
Kilmore Big is a lost burial place in County Dublin where two people were laid to rest, possibly centuries before the city grew around them. The excavation is gone, the trench backfilled, and the exact spot forgotten. What remains is the shape of the event: a shovel cutting through soil that had already become memory.
In 1990 human remains were discovered during construction works. Two burials were visible in the section of the trench, oriented west-east. No associated artfacts or grave structures were found with the burials. The remains were handed over the City coroner (NMI). The exact location of this site is unknown.s
