Freestanding round-plan cast-iron postbox, installed c. 1970, with shallow domed cap, moulded corona, neck moulding, cylindrical shaft and moulded plinth base. Curved hinged door facing west incorporating letter slot with raised frame below and raised 'P&T' motif. Located in recess in later boundary wall to shopping complex on Woodlawn Avenue.

An good surviving example of a pillar postbox bearing the 'P&T' logo of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs (1924-84). It is likely to be a later example of the type, as the surrounding development is generally of late twentieth-century appearance.
