Burial in Holdenstown Lower

Wheeler (OPW files, 1957) describes about twenty extended human skeletons in good condition found during the extraction of sand from a low sandhill. There was no evidence for an enclosure or grave-markers. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
