Coldwinters holds a burial where human remains lay beside a flint blade, discovered around 1957 in a tilled field with no visible trace left behind. The land has since been drained and altered for modern water works, yet the old partnership of bone and stone endures beneath ordinary ground.

Human remains associated with a flint blade were discovered c. 1957 (NMI 1957:5). Found in field of tillage on slightly undulating ground. There is no visible surface trace (Cahill & Sikora 2011, 468). The area at Daw's bridge in the vicinity of the site was subject to extensive drainage works-Lissenhall-Jordanstown Trunk Water Main Scheme- by Fingal County Council. The works were subject to intermittent monitoring (Licence 08E0178) although monitoring was constant where it passed in proximity to this site.
