Cloghristick in County Carlow holds a young adult male, aged twenty-five to thirty-five, buried face up at the base of a steep south-western slope. He waited beneath the soil for centuries before road builders uncovered him, preserving the exact moment when an ordinary life became a marker for the changed world above.

Excavated in advance of construction of the N9/N10 Kilcullen-Waterford Road (Excavation Licence number E2603).
