What is recorded here
Carrigoran holds a burial marker on the western edge of Clare, yet no visible chamber or grave remains certain beneath the grass. The land may have swallowed a body, a treasure or a child long before written memory arrived. What is missing is not an error but an invitation to listen for what the soil still keeps.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
