Urlanbeg Castle (in Ruins) — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Urlanbeg Castle stands in ruins in County Clare, a stripped tower house where the cliff wind still moves through broken rooms. It belongs to the crowded Clare coast, where stone was thrown quickly to keep out seas, rivals and time. What is left is a stump of ambition, decent and clear, waiting for a person stubborn enough to finish it.

Built by the MacNamara clan in the 16th century, Urlanbeg Castle is remembered as a significant example of a Clare tower house, reflecting the defensive and social structures of Gaelic Ireland during the late medieval period.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
