Burial in Ardbrack

Burial

What is recorded here

Ardbrack holds a burial marked only in a published account, not on a public map. It is the kind of place where dead people were set into the ground and the living stopped speaking about them. Cork keeps that much of its own history beneath its feet, waiting for someone honest enough to dig.
An account of this monument has been published in: Cahill, M. & Sikora, M. (2011) Breaking ground, finding graves- reports on the excavations of burials by the National Museum of Ireland, 1927-2006. vol. 2, 464-465. Compiled by: Denis Power Date of upload: 17 August 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
