Not named on 1842 OS 6-inch map which shows field and house on location ofsite. Unnamed rectangular field (c. 50m E-W; c. 40m N-S) shown here on 1903 OS 6-inch map. In pasture, on S-facing slope. Fences enclosing field levelled except small portion of earthen bank (H c. 1m) to W. Known locally as burial ground and remembered as rectangular area enclosed by earthen bank (H c. 1m), with some "humps and hollows" in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
