E.S.B. now builds a generating station on the buried ground, indicating human remains once lay beneath the soil. The site resists easy imagination because industrial purpose has replaced domestic memory. Yet the chamber may have held children, elders or strangers whose names never reached written life. The building does not erase that possibility; it occupies the same earth where forgotten people waited for recognition.

Shown as 'Burial Ground (site of)' on 1902 and 1935 OS 6-inch maps only. No visible surface trace. E.S.B. generating station now on site.
