Unknown Townland is an unmarked burial ground in County Dublin where bones emerged during hospital foundation digging in 1951. A. T. Lucas inspected the remains before concrete swallowed the evidence again. Later excavations in 1989 and 1996 found nothing but compacted earth and forgotten time. The dead did not leave behind chambers, jewels or named lives; they left a gap the living kept filling.

In 1951 burials were discovered during the digging of foundations for the Bon Secour Hospital. The burials were inspected by A. T. Lucas from the National Museum. Excavations took place in the vicinity of the hospital in 1989 and 1996, but no archaeological features were discovered (Mc Mahon 1990, 19-20; Carroll 1997, 34).
