Killinane holds a hidden children's burial ground beneath an ordinary Cork field, preserving lives that never entered formal history. The present owner still calls the soil The Cill, remembering bones that a plough once disturbed. That gentle violence pulled identity back from oblivion, forcing the community to acknowledge young deaths the region had stopped naming.

Bowman (1934, 632) recorded 'Church Site (14504) and Burial Ground' in John Kelleher's land in a field called 'The Cill...Bones were found about 10 years ago when this field was being ploughed'. Field known by present landowner as containing children's burial ground. No visible surface trace of church or burial ground.
