What is recorded here

Kilcranathan holds a circular burial ground and church site where four small grass-covered mounds still mark the edge of forgotten deaths. The rest has surrendered to soil, leaving behind only a distant memory of broken masonry and the certainty that people once tended this place before silence took it.

Bowman (1934, 14) recorded burial ground and church site (14496) on J. Tarrant's land: 'The site is circular. With the exception of four small grass-covered mounds, there is nothing to be seen on the site. Mr Tarrant remembers some small fragments of masonry to have been here.' Exact location not known.
