An Ceal, the Church, is a vanished burial ground in Claragh More, County Cork, where even the grave markers and walls have surrendered to soil and forgetting. The name still floats above ordinary land like a ghost refusing to leave, marking a place where the dead once lay beneath a building no longer visible. What remains is a absence shaped like memory, a hole in the landscape that dares you to imagine what it swallowed.

Bowman (1934, 314) recorded burial ground and church site (14468) on D. Murphy's land, but added that 'there are now no signs of either. This site is called "An Ceal (the Church)".'
