Disused burial ground in County Cork, Ireland: a vanished circle, not a named monument. The field is called Pairc na Cille, which points to a church and graveyard rather than an ordinary pasture. People may have laid the dead there before the church fell into forgetfulness, leaving only a circular shadow in the land.

Not shown on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps; shown on 1938 OS 6-inch map as circular area (diam. c. 20m) defined by broken line with site of church (14494) in interior. In pasture, on N-facing slope. No visible surface trace evident. According to Bowman (1934, 557), 'The sign of the surrounding fence (circular) is just discernible. In field called "Pairc na Cille".' Probably 'kiel' referred to by Berry (1905, 54), where burials were said to have taken place in 'ancient times'.
