What is recorded here
Bully's Acre in Ballinalee, County Longford, is a disused graveyard marked by low upright stones and a puzzling central depression. The name connects the site to executed insurgents from the 1798 rebellion, though excavations also revealed an unrecognised stone box and everyday artifacts from much later centuries. A farm building now crowds the southern edge, reminding visitors that ordinary life has closed around a place that may have held more than common dead.
