A granite boulder (1.05m x 86cm) with a rough, bowl-shaped off-centre basin (28cm x 30cm; D 7cm). Exact original location unknown but believed to have been found locally. Compiled by: Claire Breen and Chris Corlett Date of upload: 2 November 2012

Likely dating to the Early Christian or earlier prehistoric period, bullaun stones were often used for ritual purposes, such as the preparation of holy water or as pilgrimage sites. They are associated with local folklore and may have been linked to saintly traditions or pagan practices.
