Bullaun stone in Legan is a carved limestone depression set into a roadside fence in County Longford, near a holy well. People deepened a natural weathered hollow until it became a place for prayer, touch and repeated visitation. The rock still holds that human rhythm: a small circle made sacred through patience, not grandeur.

In an area of outcropping rock. The bullaun has been carved into an exposed section of bedrock that forms part of a NW-SE roadside fence. The bullaun (diam. 0.3m; D 0.14m) undoubtedly is an enhancement of a pre-existing depression in the limestone caused by natural weathering. There is a holy well (LF023-040----) c. 44m to the NE.
