Kilnaruane holds a circular bullaun cut into masonry near an early Christian cross shaft. The depression measures seventy-five centimetres across and eighteen centimetres deep, large enough for repeated prayer or perhaps something forgotten. It sits above a burial ground where people lived, loved and died before written memory, suggesting the stone served more than one purpose.

This monument was reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland by Tony Miller on 28th January 2013. he describes the stone as follows: "It is situated c. 6m. north-east of the cross shaft and sits on top of the central, early Christian enclosure and burial ground (CO118-031001-). However, I visited this site recently and noted that this bullaun is cut into the surface of a circular shaped piece of masonry, possibly connected with the other pieces at the site or maybe even a partially broken millstone. Only excavation would make it definitive but the exposed part of the bullaun does appear circular with a regular thickness of c. 0.18m and c. 0.75m in diameter."
