In grassland withn good views in all directions. Bullaun stone (TS066-030002-) located to the E of the E side of 19th-century Damerville House. Its original location is unknown. Roughly circular limestone boulder (dims. H 0.29m x diam. 0.63m) with large deep circular bowl (dims. D 0.2m x diam 0.32m) in centre of stone. Dated to the early Christian period, likely 5th to 7th centuries AD, the Bullaun stone may have been used for ritual purposes, such as the preparation of holy water or as a site for Christian pilgrimage. Local folklore sometimes associates such stones with saintly figures or protective charms.
