Bullaun stone in Ardagh (tirawley By.)

Bullaun stone

What is recorded here

Bullaun stone in Ardagh (tirawley By.) stands in the NE quadrant of a graveyard, a small irregular boulder with a shallow cup on one surface. People may have knelt beside it, poured water into the depression, or simply touched the worn stone before leaving the dead behind. The graveyard still gives the stone its meaning, while the small cup suggests repeated human attention across a long time.
