On SE bank of circular enclosure (9162). Irregular block of sandstone with circular hollow (diam. 0.3m; D 0.18m) to one side of flat upper surface; second hollow (diam. 0.26m; D 0.15m), 0.05m from first, incomplete as stone broken at this point. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Likely dating to the Neolithic or Bronze Age, this standing stone may have been associated with ritual activity or territorial marking, given its position near a circular enclosure. The paired hollows may indicate some form of ceremonial use, possibly for offerings or as a quern, though their exact function remains uncertain.
