In level pasture. Circular area (15m N-S; 15m E-W) enclosed by V-shaped fosse (D 0.9m; Wth 3m); external earthen bank (H 0.4m) E->N. Bank overgrown with gorse; truncated to NE by roadway. Interior slightly raised and covered with gorse. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). A circular enclosure with a V-shaped fosse and external bank, likely a defensive or ritual enclosure dating to the Iron Age. Its significance lies in its well-preserved ditch and bank features, which contribute to understanding of early settlement and land use in the region.
