Stepped slipway with limestone kerb stones, c. 1870. Cast iron guard rail to water side with missing hand rail. One of few remaining slipways on the Cork's quaysides.
Significant as the only slipway of its kind on the south channel of the Lee, for the quality of its construction, and as a link with the industries historically associated with this stretch of quay.
