Building in Kilteasheen

Situated on a rise overlooking the N bank of the W-E Boyle river, c. 50m to the S, just as it leaves Lough Key. The W-facing wall of a building was uncovered just W of the burial ground (RO006-012001-), cutting the burials. A clay-pipe stem and crockery indicates that it was abandoned in the late 18th or early 19th century, but its double-faced construction indicates a late medievel date.
