What is recorded here
In grassland on low rise of rock outcrop with good views in all directions and deserted medieval settlement (TS054-037----) in field to S. Two fields to the N of Graystown castle (TS054-037002-) there are the grass-covered wall-footings of a rectangular tower (TS054-037010-) with wall-footings of a bawn (TS054-037011-) to E and house (TS054-037014-) with bawn (TS054-037015-) and two buildings to E (TS054-037016-; TS054-037017-). Immediately to NW of W angle of the bawn (TS054-037011-) there are the grass-covered wall-footings of a possible building (ext. dims. approx. 9.3m NW-SE x 8.1m NE-SW) orienated NW-SE which appears to be built up against the external face of the bawn wall and the outer face of the NW wall of the castle (TS054-037010-). Possibly a later building built up against the outer W angle of the bawn or as an extension to the NW wall of the castle.
