On a low-lying limestone terrace. It consists of a rectangular grassed-over stone structure (NE-SW: L 20.4m, Wth 1.4m) overlain by a field wall at SW end. Referred to as a church in local tradition (pers. comm. T. Robinson). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'.
