Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1795, with three-bay two-storey block to rear (north). Hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and rendered chimneystacks. Hipped and pitched slate roof to rear block. Rendered walls. Camber-headed openings, some blind, with six-over-six and nine-over-six pane timber sliding sash windows. Cast-iron metal guards to ground floor windows to rear block. Round-headed opening to rear with nine-over-six with fanlight timber sash window. Round-headed door opening with square-headed timber sash window and timber doorcase comprising architrave, fluted engaged Corinthian columns, cornice and cobweb fanlight. Limestone threshold. Square-headed openings to rear block with timber battened doors and overlights. Four-bay two-storey rubble stone outbuilding to rear with cut stone eaves course, cast-iron rainwater goods and camber-headed openings with cut stone voussoirs. Two-bay two-storey rubble stone outbuilding to north-east with pitched corrugated-iron roof, camber-headed opening and elliptical-arched carriage arches with cut stone voussoirs. Elliptical carriage arch attached. Cast-iron circular-profile piers and wrought-iron gate to site. Recent entrance sweep walls, piers and gates.
Retains much of its original form and fabric as well as intact outbuildings and rear block. Restrain in ornamentation compliments regular form and façade, with well-crafted and executed doorcase and fanlight providing main focus and artistic interest. Another notable feature is round-headed starlight to rear. Substantial size and apparently early design adds architectural interest to landscape.
